jamesrl2552 2021 and I still haven't heard something quite as technical, aggressive, fast and fantastical as when I first found this album. The best way I can describe it is in the booming of cannons and rattling spray of machine guns that create a symphony of death. Favorite track: Joseph Curwen.

Morts The marriage of death metal and mathcore creates Refawn from outta Russia. Song structures and time signature changes that bring to mind Mekong Delta, Anacrusis and Voivod, but with the death metal aggression and slamming heaviness and vocals with a Nathan Explosion bent! Fortunately the band had the good sense to steer clear of the djent trap that so many others attempting this kinda metal fall into! Favorite track: Joseph Curwen.
